Technical servicemen
We are currently looking to recruit a technical serviceman to work with our range of material handling and waste solutions.
The primary objective of the role will be to generate new business by developing contact with customers at all levels in the construction industry and organise demonstrations and training on site to increase market awareness of the product range.
As well as demonstrations the successful candidate will initially be required to coordinate and carry out deliveries and training to site using a company vehicle.
Core responsibilities
Maximise sales effort through contact with decision makers and demonstrations to existing customers and influence new business by exploiting opportunities with new customers.
- Plan customer visits to ensure travel - and call time is carried out efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of customers and products demonstrated in a format that can be used to improve our central database
- Maintain weekly and monthly activity reports which need to include, contacts/customers, products, prospects, potential business, customer feedback and ideas, competitor activity, sales successes and general market feedback
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed in all aspects of work both on and off customer sites and always wear safety equipment where it is required

Requirements
- Candidate must live within a 1 hr drive of Leicester
- A good communicator
- A hands-on approach is essential
- Construction industry experience would be preferred
- A clean driving license
- Basic computer skills preferred. Ideally e-mail, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
